Education and Experience Background

Dongmei Liu, MD, L.Ac graduated from Sun Yat-sen Medical University, one of the top five medical universities in China, in 1988. She has had training in both traditional Western medicine and traditional Chinese medicine in China.

She has 29 year’s experiences and published 30 research papers in peer-reviewed magazines. She has practiced Qigong for 18 years. Phylosophy of Holistic Healing

She is trained in both traditional Western and Eastern medicine; acquired a PhD degree from Tokyo University, Japan; passed the US medical board examination and has an USMLE medical certificate; is an acupuncture researcher at UC-Irvine. How we make a diagnosis of a disease? Diagnosis for an experienced doctor, more than 90% of our diseases can be diagnosed based on the symptoms of patients.

MST: muscle strength testing is to test if the energy harmonization between the body and environment. Abdominal Palpitation Diagnosis: liver, spleen, small intestine, large intestine, kidney, stomach, et al, most of the major internal organs can be valued through abdominal palpitation. This will help us to regulate the organs’ function through acupuncture points. Tongue diagnosis: tongue diagnosis is important as it is the only internal organ that we can see.
